INDIAN LAKE STATE PARK
This 5,800 acre lake offers unlimited horsepower
boating and features four boat ramps and boat docks for rental. Skiing is popular in the open zone areas.
Indian Lake State Park hosts over 80 fishing tournaments
annually. It is a
fisherman’s dream where numerous species of fish can be caught including
largemouth bass, saugeye, white bass, crappie, bluegill, walleye, yellow
perch and catfish. The
Cherokee Trail, a 3-mile easy walk through brushy habitat, is located
west of the camp. The Pew
Island Trail, a 1-mile pass, encircles Pew Island and affords a
spectacular view of Indian Lake.
A 3-mile paved bikeway also open to hikers and joggers, is
located on the West and South Banks between Old Field Beach and Russells
Point. There are two public
swimming beaches, Old Field Island and Fox Island. There are also four designated boat/swim areas. Five shelters may be reserved by calling the park office.
Numerous restaurants and retailers are located along the lake.
