Don't Miss these Events at Indian Lake
Legislative Luncheon - Sponsored annually by the Chamber, it
is on the second Friday of February. Numerous government,
community and business leaders are in attendance.
Indian Lake Boat Show - (First full weekend in March) -
Co-sponsored by the Chamber. The Annual Boat Show, organized by
the Indian Lake Marine Dealers Association, attracts thousands of people
each year. The U.S. Coast Guard and the Ohio State Parks
Department Division of Watercraft are on hand to answer boating
questions.
Maple Syrup Festival - Held in
conjunction with the Indian Lake State Park on the third weekend in
March at the Indian Lake State Park Campground. The festival
includes a wagon ride through the park to the tapping area for a
tutorial on how maple syrup is extracted. Next, it's a stop at the
Sugar Shack for a demonstration of the process by which sap is
transformed into true maple syrup. While at the festival, enjoy a
pancake and sausage breakfast prepared by chamber members and
volunteers. Maple syrup can be purchased from the ILDC booth.
Indian Lake Fireworks FUNd Ride - Indian Lake Area Chamber of
Commerce Bicycle Tour is a 30, 60 or 100 mile bicycle ride around the
Indian Lake Area. Held June 7, 2008 - beginning and ending at Old Field Beach,
Lakeview. Proceeds benefit the Indian Lake Fireworks Fund. The cost
to participate is $10.00 (pre-registration) or $12.00 the day of the

Indian Lake
Fireworks FUNd Run - New in 2008, this is a 5K run/walk
event which begins and ends at the Russells Point Harbor. Proceeds
benefit the Indian Lake Fireworks Fund and the Russells Point
Neighborhood Watch program. Cost to participate is $12 or $20 with shirt
(pre-registration) or $17 or $25 with shirt the day of the event.
Antique Appraisal Fair - June
14, 2008 - (Location TBA) Bring your antiques and let the
appraiser tell you what it's worth. If you would like to have an item
appraised by Appraiser Anne Stratton, there will be a $10 charge for each
item or 3 items for $25.00 (3 item limit). All appraisals must be complete by 4 p.m.
Saturday Night at the Movies on the Lake
- June 14, 2008. A 25 x 35 foot movie screen will be located at
Old Field Beach for the Saturday Night at the Movies. It will begin at dark (9:30 - 10:00 p.m.)
Arrive by boat and listen to the movie on your boat radio or bring your
lawn chair and sit on the beach. Popcorn, pop, lemonade, and
funnel cakes will be available for purchase.
Discover Indian Lake Boat Tours - June 21, 2008. Rides begin
at 10:00 a.m.. Each hour, 3 to 5 boats leave Lakeview Harbor for
a 3 hour tour of the lake with one stop per boat. The last tour leaves
at 4:00 p.m. The cost is a $15.00 donation per person or a family
of four for $40.00. The ride will be on a pontoon boat with a n
Indian Lake Beacon as Captain. To register, click on the event.
Lakeview Car and Craft Show - June 28, 2008 - The Lakeview Downtown
will host a car and craft show in downtown Lakeview. Many craft
vendors will have their merchandise on display along with antique cars
of all makes and models. For a more information, click on the

Beach Spectacular and Fireworks - Held on the first Saturday
in July. (July 5, 2008). The day starts at Old Field Beach
with the Beach Spectacular. Thousands from Ohio travel to Indian
Lake for the magnificent fireworks which glow over the lake. At Old
Field Beach, watch the Indian Lake Pageants (Teenie Weenie Bikini
Contest, Little Miss, Jr. Miss and Miss Indian Lake Contest, Indian Lake
Idol) and Car Show. To contribute to the firework's fund, contact

Party at the Beach with the Danger Brothers - July
19, 2008.
The party begins at 1:00 p.m. with an opening band, followed by The Danger Brothers at Old Field Beach from 4:00
- 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 (presale) and $10.00 at the gate.
Old Field Beach is closed to the public all day. This is the
second year for the Danger Brother's concert at Old Field Beach State
Park. Gates open at noon with a pre-show concert at 2:00 p.m.

Putt Around the Lake - The Putt Around the Lake is the big golf outing of the year for the Chamber. This event
is held the second Saturday in August (August 9, 2008). By boat or
by car, putt around to 17 establishments around the Indian Lake
with a team of four. Choose 9 out of 17 of your team member's best
scores to win. Entry fee is $60 per team. The outing begins at
10:00 a.m. and must be finished by 7:00 p.m.
Fall Festival and Lift Off of Fall - September 19 - 21, 2008.
The festival is sponsored by the Indian Lake State Park and the ILDC.
The Lift Off of Fall will be included in the Fall Festival in 2008.
Ten to fifteen hot air balloons will lift off from Old Field Beach on
September 20 (rain date Sunday, Sept. 21). Balloons are sponsored
by local businesses. The balloons return to the lake in the
evening for a "Balloon Glow" after dark at the Indian Lake State Park
Campground.
Halloween Camping - October 17 - 19, 2008 - The Indian Lake
State Park hosts Halloween Camping as people enjoy the fun and games and
trick and treating.
Ring of Fire - Held every year on the Sunday of Labor Day
Weekend. Hundreds of flares are planted around the lake as Indian
Lake becomes one big red glow. To learn more about the Ring of

Lakeview Downtown Christmas - December 5, 2008 - Beautiful
Downtown Lakeview hosts, "Christmas in Lakeview," with horse-drawn
wagons, raffles, carolers, face painting for kids and Christmas shopping
at local businesses.
